The Rescue Mission's Freeze Out to End Homelessness run and walk is set for this Saturday on the campus of SUNY Broome beginning at 10:00 AM.  The event raises money to help the Rescue Mission battle back against those who have no home. Registration begins at 9:00 AM and an After Party celebration begins at 10:30 AM.

Homelessness is a problem that is never pleasant.  In the bitter cold of a winter like this one homelessness could be deadly.The Rescue Mission operates Whitney Place on Whitney Avenue in Binghamton.

Whitney Place houses men who have been referred there by area service agencies.  Offered are numerous services designed to help residents land on their feet and become independent once again.

Some of the areas where help is offered include counseling, alcohol and substance abuse rehabilitation, life skills training and career training.
