Former Vestal Magic Car Wash to Open Under New Owner
An old car wash on the Vestal Parkway is about to be brought back to life by a company that operates dozens of similar facilities across New York state.
Vestal town officials say the former Magic Car Wash is being transformed into a "high-end facility."
Broome County records show the property at 200 Vestal Parkway East was acquired by Clifton Land Company LLC in March for $435,000. It had been owned by Nancy Husisian of Chemung County.
Clifton Land Company is owned by Jeff Arnold, a retired New York State Police investigator. He has not been available to discuss plans for the Vestal site.
Town officials say the operation will be modernized and converted into a Classy Chassy Carwash. The company has 25 locations in upstate New York, including one on Upper Front Street in the town of Chenango.
In recent weeks, workers have removed old equipment from the Vestal Parkway site. New equipment has been delivered for installation.
It's not known when the new Classy Chassy Carwash will open. The site is located almost directly across the parkway from a CK's Car Wash operation.
