Binghamton Senators fans remember Antoine Vermette during his two plus seasons playing here with the Ottawa organization.  He just won a Stanley Cup Championship playing with the Chicago BlackHawks.  Vermette played in Binghamton between the 2002-03 season and the 2004-05 campaigns.  During his time here Vermette scored 62 goals and notched 135 points.

After seeing action with Ottawa for four seasons Vermette spent time with St. Louis and Phoenix before being acquired this February by the Blackhawks.  In 19 regular season games he did not score a goal with Chicago but came alive in the post-season with four goals and three assists in 20 games. His goal in the third period of Game 5 gave Chicago a 2-1 victory over Tampa Bay and set the stage for the clinching win in Game 6 in Chicago.  Ironically, Vermette's winning goal came against another former Binghamton Senator, Ben Bishop who was a standout throughout the post-season for the Lightning.
