The Forks and Newark Valley are headed to the Carrier Dome next weekend to play for the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championship in their respective classifications. In action this afternoon (Saturday) both won their semi-final contests at Cicero-North Syracuse.

Newark Valley moves to 11-0 as they defeated Bishop Kearney 34-14 in the Class C semi-final.  They move on to the championship game next weekend to face Ogdensburg who is 9-2.

In Class B semi-final action Chenango Forks rolled to a 41-8 victory over Dunkirk for its 23rd straight win.  They will meet Glens Falls for the title next Saturday.  The Blue Devils  will look for their fourth consecutive state crown.

The previous three championships were in Class C play.  This year The Forks moved up in enrollment and are competing at the Class B level.

L.J. Watson was the star of the game with four touchdowns for the Blue Devils.  Watson is having a stellar season on both sides of the football.
