Binghamton University is hosting a Community Lab event to talk about the changing frequency of serious flooding in the Binghamton area.

The Binghamton Community Lab is hosting a mixer and discussion titled: Floods, Changing Frequency and Living in Binghamton... An Underwater Future?

The event takes place August 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lost Dog Café Violet Room on Water Street, Binghamton.

The discussion is free. If participants want dinner, the self-pay meal will be served at 6 p.m.

B.U. Associate Professor of Geology and Enviornmental Studies, Peter Kneupfer, will talk about recent flood events and weather the flooding in the Northeast is the new norm or just a run of bad luck over the past decade.
