Fire Destroys Chenango County Business

Authorities are investigating a fire in Chenango County that has destroyed an auto business.

New York State Police say the blaze at Crandall’s Auto on Blanding Road was reported at around 8:40 p.m. December 18 and the building was engulfed in flames.

There are no reports of injuries.

Firefighters from at least three departments initially responded to the scene and were working at the site for hours.

Emergency services officials say crews were also looking for hot spots after the blaze was reported out.  The cause is under investigation.

Fire officials say the business was totally destroyed.
