Fire Damages Home in Apalachin

A home in Apalachin is heavily damaged by a late afternoon fire May 20. 

Apalachin Fire District officials could be seen on Lilly Hill Road, a small street off Pennsylvania Avenue at around 5 p.m. and fire trucks and other emergency vehicles were on the scene. 

The small side-road over the weekend had been closed off due to flooding from heavy rain overnight May 15.

There has been no word about any injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
