Popular Donoli's Restaurant in Apalachin is Being Sold

New owners are preparing to take over the operation of Donoli's Restaurant and Banquets in Tioga County.

The eatery and event venue has been a fixture on Route 434 in Apalachin for 35 years.

Donoli's, which was opened Scott and Linda Fargnoli, had its grand opening in January 1990. The place became popular for dinners, business meetings and special events.

The Fargnolis recently decided to sell Donoli's and a Conklin couple has made a deal to buy the operation.

Kris and Amber Kasmarcik are acquiring the business. Kris Kasmarcik said they intend to start running Donoli's next week.

In announcing the transition, the Kasmarciks said the restaurant "has meant so much to our family and our community over the years." In an online message, they wrote: "We couldn't be more excited to carry on its legacy."

Kris Kasmarcik said they're planning to keep Donoli's existing menu and staff. He said the restaurant's wine list will be expanded.

Kasmarcik said gift cards already sold for Donoli's will be honored.
