Several benches now are in place at the ACA Memorial Park site in Binghamton.

The park has been under construction at the southeast corner of Front and Clinton streets.

The memorial is to honor those who died at the American Civic Association building in a shooting incident in April 2009.

Project coordinator David Marsland told WNBF News work is still being done on the plaques that will be installed at the park.

Etching also is being completed on some of the big pavers that are to be placed at the site.

Marsland said no date has been set for the park dedication ceremony. It's expected to be held later this spring.
