Endwell Man Charged With Bomb Possession

An Endwell man, wanted in Illinois is charged in connection with possessing a homemade explosive device in Broome County.

Broome County Sheriff's officials, the United States Marshals Service, New York State Police, Endicott Bomb Squad, Broome-Endicott SWAT team, Endwell Fire Company and Union Emergency Squad surrounded 3410 Luther Street in Endwell Friday afternoon and took 23 year old Jeffrey Blunk into custody. Sheriff's officials say Blunk is being charged in Broome County with felony weapon possession and is wanted by the State of Illinois in connection with possessing explosives and methamphetamine following an investigation in Geneseo, Il. Broome County's investigation is continuing and officials say more local charges are likely. Blunk is being held in the Broome County Jail without bail.
