Endicott Man Charged with Sexual Abuse

An Endicott man has been accused of having sexual contact with a young girl.

Authorities say 38-year-old Stewart Sceranka was arrested by village police on Friday. He has been charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a felony.

Detectives say the arrest followed an investigation into an incident that allegedly happened on January 7 at an Endicott residence.

Investigators say Sceranka is accused of subjecting a girl under the age of 11 to sexual contact.

Sceranka was arraigned in Endicott village court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
