It appears the people who had been running a basketball recruiting firm out of an old Endicott school aren't doing business there anymore.

Offices and classrooms of AAUConnect on Jackson Avenue were empty when a reporter visited the former Henry B. Endicott School this week.

On Wednesday, it appeared items were being taken from one of the firm's offices and being loaded into a moving company truck parked in front of the building.

The state attorney general's office has accused AAUConnect and its affiliate, New York International Academy, of misleading high school basketball and post-graduate students.

In a lawsuit, Chris Bevin and Hazel Ward, the husband-and-wife principals of the operation, are alleged to have misrepresented the firm's programs.

Bevin and Ward have not responded to multiple requests for comment this week.

Telephone lines for AAUConnect and New York International Academy remained in service on Friday but they only forwarded callers to recorded messages.

No exterior signs for the business were observed on the exterior of the old school building. Four paper signs were found inside designating offices, a classroom and a "video room."

Several unresolved complaints about AAUConnect are posted to a website for the Better Business Bureau.
