Easter Egg Hunt Returns to Binghamton’s Recreation Park
The Children’s Charity of Greater Binghamton Easter Egg Hunt is back after a two-year break forced by the pandemic.
he event, in Memory of Harpur Stanz, will be held at Recreation Park Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by Mirabito, which is helping the bunny with a donation of 750 pounds of candy. 30,000 eggs will be scattered through the West Side, Binghamton park and the carousel will be open.
Refreshments will also be available.
Organizers say an over-sized rabbit is also rumored to make an appearance.
Harpur Stanz was a 16-year-old Binghamton High School student who was killed by an impaired driver while she and a friend were walking home from Rec. Park after playing tennis in March of 2019.
Saturday’s event is free.
