Three people are facing charges in Cortland County after Deputies stopped a vehicle at 1:13 a.m. November 25 on Starr Road as the driver was reportedly seen throwing refuse out of the window into the roadway.

33 year old Jessica Peer, who was driving, and 22 year old Alexander Hale, both of Freeville, are charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, using drug paraphernalia, possessing a hypodermic, littering and failure to have the four children in the vehicle restrained.

47 year old James Glover of Cortland was also found to have drug paraphernalia.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say a search of the vehicle turned up several items of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and hypodermic needles.

The four children were released to family members.

Peer was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $5,000 bail.  Bail for Hale was set at $7,5000 and bail for Glover was set at $2,5000.
