A Hancock woman is accused of driving while under the influence of drugs.

Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say they responded to a report of a car that had gone off State Highway 97 in Hancock at around 1:29 a.m. April 13, ending up in a ditch.

21 year old Alissa Young is charged with driving while impaired, failure to keep right and moving from a lane unsafely.

Deputies say a passenger, 26 year old Anthony Rhinebeck of Hancock, is accused of possessing three hypodermic needles.

He’s charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.

Rhinebeck was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $5,000 bail while Young was jailed on $1,000 bail.
