Downtown Binghamton Farmers Market Moves to New Site

A construction project has prompted the farmers market in downtown Binghamton to operate at a different location this summer.

The market's new site is on Collier Street, just off Court Street. It's a couple of blocks east of the Washington Street pedestrian mall, where it operated in recent years.

Market manager Eliana Epstein said about 20 vendors are participating this year. A variety of items including fruits and vegetables, as well as mushrooms, meats and prepared goods are being sold.

Live musical performances are planned at the downtown farmers market in coming weeks.

The farmers market operates on Tuesdays from 4 to 7 p.m. The final market for this season is scheduled for October 5.
