Summer is in full swing and many people are making plans for fun weekend trips, vacations, and many other outdoor activities. I spend a lot of my free time at a campground where I can enjoy the great outdoors.

I began my outdoor adventures with a simple tent, then a bigger tent, followed by a small camper, and to present-day here I have a camper that has as many amenities as my home. But I get to spend my downtime outdoors in the country, and that's what it's all about.

You may love the outdoors as much as I do, but are not really into primitive tent camping, nor do you want to take on the expense of purchasing a camper. Well, there is an option I think you might enjoy.

The website Tentrr, lists places not far from the Binghamton area (in addition to around the United States), that offer what I'd call a more comfortable way to camp with a tent. Some might call it Glamping, which means camping with accommodations and facilities that are a lot more luxurious.

These types of sites would include a tent of course and may be set on top of a wooden, stone, or concrete pad, complete with a bed, comfortable outdoor chairs, firepit, picnic table, BBQ grill, cooler, and other comfort amenities, including an outhouse. Some may even have electric hookups.

I took a look at what sites are less than a 2-hour drive from the Binghamton area and found at least six listed on the Tentrr website. Check them out below, and maybe this will be your next fun outdoor adventure.
