Discount Store Opens at Former Bank Location on Washington Avenue
A new variety shop has opened its doors at a location in Endicott that's been used by banks and clothing stores over the years.
The store at 43 Washington Avenue is called Six Broz Shopping & Discount. The street level portion of the building most recently had been used by M&T Bank.
Saiful Hasan said the business started operating this month.
The 5,000-square-foot store stocks a wide array of items, including household goods, hardware and office supplies.
Hasan said the store's name is linked to the six brothers who are partners in the business. The shop operates from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week.
Online shopping will be available starting early next month. Free delivery will be offered for purchases over $50.
Hasan said his family operates three similar discount stores in the Bronx. He said they also own a restaurant and two supermarkets there.
Several new stores and restaurants have opened along Washington Avenue over the past year.
