Residents are advised to boil all water intended for consumption, cooking, brushing teeth and washing dishes for at least one minute and allow to cool or use bottled water.

When water systems experience a break in a line or a loss of pressure, there is increased concerns of bacterial contamination of the supplies to households and businesses, prompting a boil order.

The advisories are normally lifted after the repairs and made and two consecutive tests of the water come back clear of contamination.

According to a posting on the Deposit Facebook page, the water main break was on Second Street.
