Deposit Couple Arrested for Welfare Fraud
A Deposit couple is accused of collecting public assistance money to which they were not entitled.
Delaware County Sheriff’s officials say they arrested 30 year old Jennifer Giacalone and 29 year old Christopher Mills on August 2.
The pair is accused of filing false written statements to get welfare benefits.
Giacalone is charged with nine counts of offering a false instrument for filing and one count of welfare fraud.
Mills is charged with one count of offering a false instrument for filing and one count of welfare fraud.
Both were sent to the Delaware County Jail with bail set at $2,000 each.
