A Delaware County Investigator and Deputy made the long trip to Oregon earlier this month to bring back 32-year-old Chellie Warner, in what is believed to be the longest trip by the agency to return a wanted fugitive to the Southern Tier.

Warner was arrested on December 20, 2017 for three felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, accused of selling drugs from her Town of Tompkins home during late August, 2017 and October 2018.

She had been released on her own recognizance, pending sentencing.

Warner was located August 20 by the Medford, Oregon Police and charged with being a fugitive from justice.

September 17, Delaware County Sheriff’s officials traveled to Oregon to bring Warner back on extradition orders.  She was sent to the Delaware County Jail without bail.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office are looking for a Court Order to make Warner pay for the cost of bringing her back from Oregon.
