In one of the cases, District Attorney John Hubbard’s office said, 49-year-old Sheryl Arduini of Delhi payed back $137,521 after the Delaware County Department of Social Services Fraud Investigations Unit said they found she had failed to report all of her household income over five years, getting SNAP, HEAP, Medicaid and Daycare benefits to which she was not entitled.

After making the payments, Arduini was further disqualified from receiving public benefits.

The authorities have investigated 39 cases since January 1, 2018 that have secured convictions and disqualifications, amounting to over $507,833 in repayments.
