Delaware County Man Accused of Choking a Woman

A Hobart man is accused of throwing a woman onto a bed and choking her.

New York State Police say William Ciati is charged with criminal contempt, criminal obstruction of breathing, criminal mischief and harassment.

Troopers responded to a home in the Town of Stamford May 16 following a 911 call to Delaware County Emergency Dispatchers.

Authorities say an order of protection against Ciati was already in place.

Ciati was sent to the Delaware County Jail on $2,000 bail.
