The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will talk about remedy plans at 6 p.m. at the George F. Johnson Memorial Library.

The State Superfund cleanup site is located on North Street and is currently owned by Huron Real Estate Associates LLC.

The location has long been the scene of remediation efforts as, what has been termed “The Toxic Plume” of chemicals from former IBM factory operations in the area was discovered decades ago.

The final options for cleaning and sealing the site are available for review on the DEC website and the agency is accepting public comment through March 29.
