The Dave & Buster's arcade and sports bar at the Oakdale Commons in Johnson City is expected to open its door in a few weeks.

Construction workers are putting the finishing touches on the interior and exterior of the business on the east side of the former Oakdale Mall complex.

The main entrance to the 25,000-square-foot Dave & Buster's will be located where an Arby's restaurant had operated for several years. The spot is just north of the BJ's Wholesale Club store that opened last January.

A Dave & Buster's representative said while the Johnson City location will open this summer, he was unsure of a specific date. But an online listing indicates the place is scheduled to open on July 29.

Several job postings for the Oakdale Commons Dave & Buster's have been listed in recent days.

The State Liquor Authority website indicates the liquor license application for the business remains "under review."

The first Dave & Buster's restaurant in the Scranton area opened April 15.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
