The owner of a bar and restaurant in Endwell has shut down the business, less than two years after reopening the establishment.

According to a Facebook post, the Pub at North and Main closed last week. Dozens of customers replied to the post, reflecting their disappointment.

Owner Bobby Larnerd expressed appreciation to those who had supported the business, which had been in operation since September 2017.

In the post, Larnerd wrote: "Unfortunately, there is just not enough of you to keep this business going."

Larnerd opened Bobby's Place at the same site at 2906 East Main Street in 2006. The establishment operated for about eight years before the location briefly became The Krow Bar and Grill under different owners.

When Larnerd launched the renamed tavern, he expressed optimism about the prospects for another opportunity to serve the community at the site. He said "I'm going to do it right for everybody out there."

Although the bar's Facebook page explained the decision to close the business, people who stopped by the place over the weekend expressed surprise because no signs were posted.
