Governor Andrew Cuomo addressed 133 new members of the State Police at the 198th Session graduation ceremony from the Basic School of the New York State Police Academy on Tuesday.

This is the first State Police Academy graduation class since June 2009, when 88 graduates left the academy.

The graduation ceremonies were held at the Empire State Plaza convention hall in Albany. The new troopers will report for field duty Oct. 22, and for the following 10 weeks will be evaluated under a field-training program supervised by senior field training officers.
