COVID Rapid Testing Begins in Waverly
In response to a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in Waverly, the Tioga County Health Department along with the New York State Department of Health, the Village and Guthrie are operating a new free testing site.
The COVID-19 rapid testing site will operate through Friday at the Waverly Village Hall. Pre-registration is required at covid19.tiogacountyny.com. or through the New York State health department website. Those unable to register electronically can call (607) 687-8600.
Testing will be done November 30 from noon to 6 p.m.
December 1, 2 and 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, December 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You do not need a doctor’s order and you do not need to be a resident of Tioga County to register.
Officials say those securing an appointment should be prompt in reporting at the scheduled time to keep the clinic running as efficiently as possible. When arriving at the site, those being tested should wait for direction from staff before entering the building and masks are required to be worn once you exit your vehicle and the entire time you are in the building.
