A Cortland woman is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine after deputies went to an apartment on South Avenue at 10:40 p.m. Friday, May 6 to try to find someone wanted on a warrant and saw her throw a backpack out of a window.

Authorities say 33 year old Dixie Sallis admitted throwing the pack, which contained meth-making items.

Sallis is charged with felony unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

Deputies were unable to find the person they initially went to the apartment for.

Sallis was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $1,000 bail.
