Cortland Man Charged With Rape

A Cortland man is charged with felony rape, felony sexual abuse and two misdemeanor counts of sexual misconduct after a woman reported she had been assaulted at a home in the Town of Cortlandville at the end of August.

22 year old Casey Cleary was found temporarily living in the Rochester area and returned to Cortland County October 12.

Officials say Cleary and the victim knew each other.

He was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $5,000 bail.
