The Downtown Binghamton Business Association May 21 announced it is cancelling the 2020 July Fest, the Parlor City 5K Race and the Binghamton Music and Jazz Festival.

It became apparent that it would not be possible to maintain social distancing and sanitation requirements to prevent the spread of the coronavirus at the close to 60-year-old celebration of the arts in the region.

The event draws hundreds of visitors and dozens of vendors from all over the state and northeast to Downtown Binghamton for three days every year, often highlighting local musicians and performers as well as artists and crafters selling unique items from tents set up along Court Street.

Organizers say they can honor commitments from vendors, Aritists in Actions and sponsors for next year or give refunds upon request.

The 2021 July Fest and Binghamton Music and Jazz Festival is now scheduled for July 9 through 11 next year.

Information and forms will be available at www.julyfestbinghamton.com.
