A weekly update of coronavirus cases in Northeastern Pennsylvania is continuing to show one rural county in particular is showing astronomical increases in infections.

Bradford County, with the largest municipalities of Sayre and Towanda, has recorded 317 new cases since October 26 according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health's COVID dashboard.  The county has had 15 deaths attributed to COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.  One of those deaths was added over the week.

Susquehanna County reported 40 additional cases of the coronavirus over the week for a total of 439 cases.  There was one additional death for the week for a total of 29.  Wayne County, east of Susquehanna and South of Deposit in New York, added 14 cases for the week for a total of 297 cases.  There were no additional deaths.  The fatalities from the pandemic in Wayne County remains at 12.

Statewide, Pennsylvania added 19,176 confirmed and suspected cases for a total of 214,871. 182 more residents' deaths for the week were attributed to COVID-19, bringing the death toll in the Commonwealth to 8,855.
