The Agricultural Funding Opportunities Forum takes place October 29 from 9 to 11 a.m. and a workshop on how to write a successful grant application will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Agriculture Development Center on Upper Front Street in the Town of Dickinson.

Organizers says representatives from the Broome County Industrial Development Agency, development groups, New York State Electric and Gas, and banks will be on hand for the morning session to address economic development opportunities, energy & conservation and agricultural lending options.

The grant application portion will cover writing a strong “Needs Statement”, creating a budget, understanding the record-keeping needed for a grant and how to craft a project that meets the applicants needs while meeting the objectives of a particular grant program.

The forum and workshop are free.  Registration is being taken at the Cornell Cooperative Extension website: https://allevents.in/cornell/agricultural-funding-opportunities-forum/200018029093409#
