Construction Starts on West Endicott Office Building

Workers using heavy equipment are busy at the town of Union site of the future headquarters of National Pipe and Plastics.

The company plans to move its corporate offices from Vestal to West Endicott, next to the polyvinyl chloride pipe factory it opened in 2014.

The site for the headquarters building is across the street from West Endicott Park. National Pipe acquired the property last year from Broome County government for $100,000.

As part of the deal, the company agreed to demolish an abandoned Endicott Johnson factory building.

The company is expected to receive $800,000 in state funds to help finance the construction of its headquarters complex.

National Pipe and Plastics president David Culbertson did not return a call seeking comment on the office building project.
