Cocaine Worth $30,000 Confiscated Near Binghamton School
Law enforcement agents found nearly 12 ounces of cocaine when they executed a search warrant at a Binghamton home less than a block from an elementary school.
Authorities say the cocaine seized at 14 Green Street on the North Side has an approximate street value of $30,000. The apartment house is located less than a block west of Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School.
Police also confiscated marijuana and $1,877 in suspected drug sale proceeds.
A South Side man face five felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Investigators say 41-year-old Clarence Rochelle of Felters Road was arraigned in Binghamton City Court and sent to Broome County Jail.
Police say more arrests are expected in connection with the drug investigation.
