The town's Neighborhood Watch program is offering a presentation on Civilian Response to an Active Shooter Situation at 7 p.m. March 14 at the Community Center at 1905 Coleman Road.

During the presentation, there will be some history concerning active attack events and the background science of how people behave in high-stress situations.

The presenters say "What you do matters."  They say having effective strategies in mind ahead of an event can dramatically increase the chance of survival.  Once an attack begins, authorities say it is too late to develop a strategy.

Due to the serious nature of the material in the presentation, participants have to be at least 18 years old to atttend.
