Cincinnatus Man Charged With Rape of 14-Year-Old Girl

A Cincinnatus man is accused of raping a teenage girl.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say 24-year-old Cody B.M. Birtch is accused of having inappropriate relations with a 14-year-old girl he knows while at a home in the Town of Cincinnatus October 11-13.

He was charged with felony counts of rape and criminal sexual act and three counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.

Sheriff’s officials say Birtch was arrested at 10:40 a.m. October 15 at the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and sent to the Cortland County Jail on $500 bail.
