This was a big hit for Mother's Day at my mom-in-law celebration. So easy but so popular!

Chocolate-dipped Strawberries (Prep. time 15 minutes.  Serves lots!)

1 lb. ripe strawberries (stem-on makes for easier dipping.)

2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 C. white chocolate chips

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or wax paper. Microwave the semi sweet chocolate in :30 increments, stirring after each interval until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.  Repeat with the white chocolate.  Dip some of the berries in the semi-sweet chocolate and allow excess chocolate to run off, swirling the berry. Then place on the covered sheet pan.  Repeat with the white chocolate.  Once the chocolate sets up (and it’s pretty fast),  Dip the tines of a fork in the white chocolate and drizzle over the semi-sweet berries.  You can dip the bottom portion of the white chocolate berries in the semi-sweet or be really fancy by dipping the outside edges in the semi-sweet to make a little tuxedo, decorated with buttons and a bow tie painted on with the semi-sweet chocolate.

This really only takes minutes to make and is inexpensive.  Mail-order chocolate covered strawberries can set you back over $40.
