Chenango Forks School District Superintendent Announces Resignati

Lloyd Peck, who has served as superintendent of the Chenango Forks School District since July 2012, will be leaving the post.

Peck has announced that he will resign as superintendent effective June 30.

In a letter discussing his decision, Peck said he has "immensely enjoyed" his time in the school district.

Peck acknowledged that some of the decisions he made as superintendent weren't popular "but they were always made to benefit our students academically and educationally."

The 49-year-old Peck said he is preparing to "transition to a new district." He has been hired to be the next superintendent of the Fabius-Pompey Central School District near Syracuse

Before being hired as Chenango Forks superintendent, Peck was a high school principal in Watertown.

The Chenango Forks Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m. Friday to discuss Peck's resignation.
