A Chenango Bridge man is suspected of burglarizing several Broome County churches in recent days.

Authorities say 21-year-old Skuyler Reynolds of River Road was arrested Tuesday evening by Binghamton police detectives.

Reynolds has been charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny in connection with a break-in at the First Presbyterian Church at 4 Floral Avenue in Binghamton.

Detective Lieutenant Cory Minor said Reynolds also is a suspect in a recent burglary at Holy Spirit Church at 360 Clinton Street in the city's First Ward.

Investigators executed a search warrant at a River Road residence and recovered several items linked to the recent wave of church burglaries in the area.

Johnson City police, the Broome County Sheriff's Office and New York State Police assisted in the execution of the warrant.

Church burglaries in Johnson City, Chenango Bridge and Port Crane have been under investigation by law enforcement agencies.

Minor said further charges are expected to be filed against Reynolds. He said investigators are working to determine whether anyone else was involved in the break-ins.
