Federal prosecutors say 40-year-old Chad Swartwood is charged with attempted sexual exploitation of a child, attempted receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography.

Investigators say in addition to Swartwood allegedly trying to convince individuals he believed to be young boys to send him photos, he also reportedly had images of child pornography on his mobile phone.

If convicted of all counts, Swartwood faces a mandatory minimum of 25-years in prison and a maximum of 110-years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

U.S. Magistrate Judge David Peeples ordered Swartwood detained on May 10.
