Businesses, Vehicles Defaced in Binghamton Vandalism Spree
Workers were busy in a Binghamton neighborhood erasing offensive graffiti after a vandal defaced sidewalks, buildings and trucks.
The graffiti spree along Clinton Street in the First Ward apparently occurred late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
Graffiti was sprayed on a truck at Rogers Services Group at 245 Clinton Street and on a bulldozer parked at a building to the west.
Some buildings on Clinton between Holland Street and Glenwood Avenue were targeted. A structure owned by the Tri-Cities Opera was hit.
City public works employees were dispatched to Clinton Street Wednesday afternoon to use white paint to cover up several spots on sidewalks. One of the spots was a long scrawl on the sidewalk in front of a Dollar General store at 325 Clinton Street.
Police have reported no arrests in connection with the incidents.
