Businesses Plan Holiday Cheer for Kids and Fur Kids

Several area businesses are getting in the holiday spirit, some even remembering the furry “little ones.”

Matthews Subaru is hosting an Adopt-a-Thon with Pet Photos with Santa to benefit the BC Humane Society December 4.

Residents are invited to bring their children, human and/or fur-kids, to the dealership at 3013 Old Vestal Road behind Lowes from 5 to 7 p.m. to have pictures taken with Santa for free.

Free pet and human refreshments will be served and the photos will be presented in a souvenir sleeve. The BC Humane Society will have adoptable dogs on site to meet and adoption applications will be available.  Another event is being held December 20, also from 5 to 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, Fairfield by Marriott is holding a Day Out with Santa and Friends Saturday, December 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marriott on Upper Front Street in Binghamton featuring a free picture with Santa, a gift for each child along with free pony rides, free face painting and cookie decorating.  Donations of non-perishable food are being accepted to support local food pantries.
