It was a milestone day at the Bearcats Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon as the women's soccer team defeated the Hartford Hawks 3-2 in overtime.  The win assured  the Bearcats a share of the America East regular season championship and the second seed in the upcoming playoffs.

Erin Theiller scored the game-winner at 3:56 into the overtime period.  Binghamton grabbed a 2-0 lead but the Hawks countered to send the game into overtime.

With the win the Bearcats up their record to 11-3-4 and 5-2-1 in America East.  Binghamton shares the regular season crown with the New Hampshire Wildcats.  The Bearcats will host a semifinal playoff game on Sunday at 1:00 PM against the winner of the Albany versus Vermont game this week.  It is the first regular season crown for the Bearcats since 2004.
