BU Women Travel to Vermont
The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team travels to Burlington, Vermont to meet the University of Vermont Catamounts Thursday night.
The Bearcats are 2-2 in America East action and 7-10 overall. The Catamounts are 6-12 overall and 1-4 in America East. Vermont got its first conference win of the season with a victory over UMass Lowell Monday. In that game the Catamounts went 22-22 at the foul line. They are one of only five teams in the NCAA Division I this season who were perfect at the free throw line this season.
The Bearcats dropped a 59-47 decision to Albany on Monday at the Events Center. Kim Albrecht scored 20 points to lead Binghamton in that contest. Rebecca Carmody received America East Rookie of the Week honors. Alyssa James has emerged as one of the premier players in America East. The Binghamton forward is averaging 16.7 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per contest.
