The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team may want to schedule more games in the morning if today's result is any indication. On a "Field Trip Day" with hundreds of local school students on hand the game began at 11:00 A.M.at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell. The Bearcats led 36-20 at the half and outscored the River Hawks 20-11 in the third period to cruise to a 70-50 final. The win ups Binghamton's America East record to 3-3 and 8-11 overall. UMass Lowell drops to 2-5 in the conference and 6-14 overall.
Rebecca Carmody continues to have an outstanding senior season. Carmody just missed a triple-double. She scored 13 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and added a career-high nine assists. Carmody is closing in on the one thousand point club. She now has scored 923 points and is tied for 19th place in Binghamton University history.

Carly Boland also hit for double figures with 12 points. Olivia Ramil and Kaylee Wasco each scored nine points. The Bearcats head north to meet the defending conference champion Maine Black Bears on Sunday. Broadcast time is 11:45 A.M. on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
