The Broome County Youth Bureau is looking for groups, agencies and local governments that have ideas for combating homelessness among young people and advancing the well-being of youth.

Request for Proposals (RFP) are being accepted from interested non-profit, community-based organizations as well as cities, towns and villages for the 2023 Youth Development (YDP), Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) and Youth Sports and Education (YSEF) funding through NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).

Specific programs should be targeted in the areas of school-based positive youth development, after school community-based positive youth development, juvenile diversion, mentoring, homeless youth programs, sports and runaway programs.

Municipalities can apply one funding request for all the programming they are offering to young people.

The Youth Bureau says programs that are identified addressing specific need areas will be awarded additional points during the process of the review.
