Four voters have told the board they got a postcard indicating their voter registration would expire unless they contacted the elections office by October 12.

Commissioners say registrations DO NOT expire and, if you are registered to vote, you can cast your ballot on Election Day, Tuesday, November 6th.

A statement from the Board of Elections says “the misleading postcard appears to have been sent to registered Democrats and Republicans.”  Anyone with questions can call the board of Elections at (607) 778-2172.

The local board has contacted the New York State Board of Elections regarding the mailing and is continuing to review the situation.
