As Broome County ramps up distributing the COVID-19 vaccine, health officials say they could use some help.

The County is hiring temporary workers to help staff COVID-19 vaccine operations.

An appeal was put out March 19 saying a variety of positions are available including greeters, educators and clerical work.

The Health Department says those interested should be able to maintain good relationships with staff and the general public, be able to operate a computer, gather information, understand the needs of others and have clerical aptitude.

Those interested in working 30 to 35 hours a week should have a flexible schedule as shifts may include evenings or weekends.  A high school or equivalency diploma is required.
