Broome County has a new administrator for the nursing home and rehabilitation center it owns.

County Executive Jason Garnar’s nominee to head the Willow Point Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Adam Aranov, was unanimously approved at the Legislature’s January session.

Aranov is currently working on filling vacant management slots and ensuring staffing on units that are currently open and start taking applications again for admissions.

 According to a news release from the Executive’s office, the new director is also working toward reopening all units that have been closed due to staff shortages in order to restore the Vestal facility to full operating capacity.

 Aranov is also striving to improve billing at the facility as part of the short-term goals for Willow Point.
